ETHICAL FASHION

Fashion is one of the most polluting industries in the world: it is responsible for at least 2% of global greenhouse gas emissions and consumes around 4% of the world's available drinking water according to ADEME . It is also a sector where there is a massive violation of human rights at work, as demonstrated in particular by the collapse of the Rana Plaza in Bangladesh in 2013 which gave rise to the international Fashion Revolution movement. Faced with this situation, alternatives are developing with the rise of second-hand and committed brands that offer ethical fashion.

At Armoire Poéthique, we've chosen to offer you new clothing from brands that work every day to encourage more responsible consumption. We're also part of the En Mode Climat collective, whose goal is to change laws so that the textile industry can combat climate change.

For us, ethical fashion is based on three fundamental pillars, which are notably guaranteed by reliable labels: Minimizing the environmental impact of clothing manufacturing activities; respecting fundamental human rights; providing quality service and transparent information on the characteristics of a product.

LABELS

Labels are a guarantee of the commitment of the brands and factories producing the clothing we have selected. But it's often difficult to navigate the multitude of labels that exist, and they don't always comply with our commitments. To help you see things more clearly, we offer a presentation of the labels we work with.
